Young people are to be uprooted from their lives and plunged into worlds alien to their day-to-day reality, in a fact-ent format for 5.

Across four 90-minute episodes, 'Trading Places' will see the youngsters immersed in week-long experiences to explore if there’s something deeper to life that they might be missing out on. The leftfield environments include a Wild West ranch and a religious brotherhood.

The series is produced by Orchard Studios, which is also behind upcoming 5 factual drama strand Suspect and has recently scored Jamie Vardy-focused commissions from Netflix and ITV.
